Job Description
Provide daily human resources support to assist employees and the Human Resources team in delivering a full spectrum of HR services, including recruitment, payroll, onboarding/off-boarding, employee transactions, and other related areas. Serve as a resource for employees and answer HR questions. Process employee information and handle highly confidential material. Complete work with a limited degree of supervision.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide HR administrative support to include maintenance of employee files, updating HR databases, scheduling interviews, processing new hires, preparing onboarding documents, assisting with payroll, handling benefit inquiries, updating resource documents, and assisting in answering employee questions regarding company policies and programs.
Provide support for payroll processes by assisting with tasks such as tracking, auditing, and ensuring accurate transactions, working collaboratively with the payroll administrator to maintain smooth operations.
Assists in conducting month-end reporting for cross-functional departments and provides ad-hoc reporting support as needed. Leverage multiple HR systems including PowerBI, DairyU, Culture Amp, ADP Reports, Survey Monkey, and others as needed to organize and summarize people's data.
Facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including conducting orientation, ensuring paperwork (e.g., tax documents, I-9, E-Verify) is complete, and setting employees up for success.
Actively support and engage in co-wide initiatives such as DEI, Value Integrity, Volunteerism, etc. Support employee engagement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and morale.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships by providing best-in-class HR support and exceptional customer service to employees. Respond to employee inquiries with clarity and care, either resolving them directly or equipping HR leaders with the information needed. Apply understanding of key legal precedents, policies, and practices to protect employee and employer interests. Raises concerns to the HR team for next-level support and guidance.
Serve as a culture steward by upholding and promoting company values and ensuring alignment in all HR activities

Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Undergraduate degree and/or human resources coursework preferred
1 to 3 years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist role
Professional HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CO, PHR) is encouraged, or a commitment to pursuing certification within the role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Expected to work on-site four days per week, with flexibility to accommodate business needs as they arise
Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws
Able to discreetly handle sensitive/confidential employee information
Able to maintain confidentiality of information
Able to recognize issues and patterns and proactively identify and resolve potential issues, questions, etc.
Able to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness in executed tasks
Able to respond courteously and efficiently to inquiries, complaints, and requests
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
Able to multi-task and organize own work activities
Must be able to read, write and speak English
