Center For Diagnostic Imaging Patient Financial Services Manager in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

As the Patient Financial Services Manager, you will manage the Customer Service & Patient Collections departments by supervising the staff and day-to-day operations and assuring their interactions meet the company's professional standards and provide excellent customer service. This position is also responsible for meeting department goals and maintaining written policies and procedures. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm CST. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (65%) Patient Collection Management Complies with established policies and procedures, objectives, HIPAA and department standards. Monitors and tracks department phone statistics and quality assurance metrics for Customer Service. Manages phone queue to ensure all calls are answered timely and engages other departments to assist with phone coverage as necessary. Ensures that financial responsibilities are communicated to patients in an effective, customer oriented manner. Facilitates completion of outstanding administrative support functions of the team. Researches backlog of incomplete or past-due associate tasks and responsibilities, resolves problems, and implements and communicates solutions to the Director, Revenue Cycle Operations. Communicates effectively with various departments within the Revenue Cycle Management group and operational centers. Handles escalated calls from patients and/or insurance providers when necessary. Establishes and maintains solid relationships with our operational center management team. Responsible for the monitoring of monthly patient collections and completion of performance and metric reports. Measures the patient accounts receivable levels, collection agency placement and recovery totals, and communicates any changes in patient accounts receivable that may impact market financials or company DSO (days sales outstanding). Responsible for maintaining a collaborative relationship with the collection agencies to ensure that patients placed in collection are handled professionally and with respect. Assesses processes, identifies gaps and implements efficient work flows. Acts as a liaison to various departments to streamline processes. (30%) Staff Management Oversees and monitors workflow of Customer Service and Patient Collection Departments, Manages overall staffing levels for adequate coverage at all times. Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations, compensation recommendations and development of associates including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and termination of associates, when necessary. Performs monthly quality assurance audits and provides feedback, including coaching and training. Leads regular staff meetings and associate 1:1s. Mentors, trains and ensures that Supervisors and Leads perform all of their duties and provide staff with appropriate instruction. Monitors and controls departmental expenditures.
