The Cigna Group Pharmacy Technician Senior Representative - Express Scripts - Specialty Distribution Services - Remote, MO in St. Louis, Missouri

The Pharmacy Technician Senior Representative role is an important part of the Express Scripts Specialty Distribution Services (ESSDS) team. This role uses a variety of skills to assist with specialty prescription processing, primarily by ensuring complete and accurate information is obtained from prescriber’s offices and performing data entry of prescriptions. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills and a working knowledge of medical terminology. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain organized is a must.

This role is not work-site dependent which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location.

Shift times may vary but will occur between 7am and 5:30pm CT.

Mandatory overtime may sometimes be necessary to meet business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Contact doctors and/or patients regarding need for complete and accurate information for prescription processing.

  • Complete data entry of prescriptions after reviewing for completeness and accuracy.

  • Work with pharmacists per work instructions, policy and procedures, management direction or any national or state regulations.

  • Complete training on Risk Evaluation and Mitigations Strategies (REMS) program requirements

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and assist with questions/issues for team members in coordination with supervisor.

  • May assist with training of newly hired pharmacy technicians.

  • Additional duties as assigned, may be cross trained to support other functional areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license in good standing required

  • 2 – 3 years relevant experience, experience in a specialty pharmacy setting preferred

  • Basic working knowledge of email, Word, and general computing.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills desired.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.

  • Ability to learn internal systems, processes and programs as needed.

  • Problem solving and basic math skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable.

  • Strong time management skills.
