Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking qualified Medical Assistants to join our urgent care. The role involves managing the check-in and registration process, measuring vital signs, drawing blood samples, and preparing treatment rooms for patient examinations. Responsibilities also include creating and updating patient charts, and handling both front and back office tasks equally. Candidates will need to be adaptable to travel between clinics within a 30-mile radius, based on operational needs.

Hard Skills

  • Active CCMA or RMA certificate

  • Current BLS through American Heart Association or Red Cross

  • Point of Care Testing (e.g., flu, strep swabs)

  • Basic Medical Assistant duties

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Basic computer skills and ability to type quickly

Soft Skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Fairness, respect, and sensitivity in treating all individuals

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in St. Louis, Missouri.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced in an urgent care setting. Medical Assistants must be comfortable with flexible scheduling, including a rotation schedule, and working at multiple locations. Initial training is at a designated location with subsequent training across various clinics. Reliable transportation is essential.
