ManpowerGroup Database Developer in St. Louis, Missouri

Our client, is seeking a Database Developer to join their team. As a Database Developer, you will be part of the department and supporting the team.

Job Title: Database Developer

Location: REMOTE

What’s the Job?

• Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems to support various applications and services.

• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and tuning.

• Collaborate with software developers to design efficient database schemas and models.

• Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation, including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and procedures.

• Conduct regular database performance monitoring and tuning to ensure optimal performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide technical support to development teams.

• Stay current with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices.

• Develop and maintain SQL scripts for automation and deployment.

• Utilize both database-first and code-first approaches to database development as appropriate.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL Server or similar.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience developing complex SQL queries.

• Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization.

• Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

• Experienced in software development lifecycle and packaging database changes for C# or similar applications.

• Knowledge of database security practices.

• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
