Position Summary
Our Nestlé Development Center (NDC) in St. Joseph, MO is home to dogs and cats who help us learn and better understand the well-being of pets and promote the human animal bond. When you join us, you'll work to ensure our pets have the best quality of care while participating in cutting edge pet food research. Research that contributes to innovative, first to market dietary solutions as well as trusted all life stage pet food. Our center is located near the metropolitan area of Kansas City, within 30 minutes of the Kansas City International airport. St. Joseph is a tight-knit, rural community packed with character, still within commuting distance to the city thus, providing many residential opportunities.
As a Maintenance Technician for our Nestlé Development Center (NDC), you’ll be responsible for planning, organizing, and performing the necessary maintenance functions to maintain the facility and/or equipment with minimal supervision.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems
Conduct preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other facility component
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on operation
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement
Adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in maintenance operations
Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
3+ years of experience with troubleshooting/repairs of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems
1+ years of building maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial work environment
Other
1+ years of experience working with single & three phase electricity and power distribution systems up to 480 volts is preferred
Must be able to perform the physical requirements necessary, such as lifting and carrying up to 50+ pounds, to meet the expectations of job assignments
The approximate pay range for this position is $51,000.00 to $65,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
