Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Senior Accountant and 340B Specialist in St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant and 340B Specialist. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team-oriented accounting department. This position involves a diverse range of accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a high level of energy, and the ability to learn quickly. A solid foundation in accounting principles, along with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively, is essential for success in this role.
What you’ll do day to day:
Prepare and document accurate journal entries, manage cash receipt reconciliations, and maintain capital budget reports and fixed asset schedules every month.
Correct posting errors, process ACH and wire payments, and assist with annual audits, as well as 1099 and 990 preparations.
Oversee the 340B program, monitor compliance, and compile claims data while providing support for financial reporting and special projects.
Interact with various leaders across the healthcare system
Qualifications and Expectations

Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accounting experience, strong critical thinking and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to manage multiple tasks independently, and practical problem-solving abilities.
