Responsibilities

Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan opened in October 2017 as a beautiful and state of the art 54-bed facility. Cedar Creek provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. Cedar Creek Hospital invests in our patients by offering an integrated medicine approach that provides the latest therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy and nutrition. As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for a Intake Registered Nurse RN position.

This position supports our team as a Temporary Assignment for 16 weeks on 12 hour shifts, with the possibility of extension for up to 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs who are interested gaining hands-on experience in Psychiatric Care without a long-term commitment. As a temporary position this is not eligible for our benefit programs, we offer exceptional pay of $70/hour. Current employees of UHS are not eligible for this program.

The Intake Clinician obtains initial clinical phone information which is communicated to the physician on call to make a final decision regarding admission. The Clinician may also schedule a clinical evaluation if appropriate for the client and contacts the physician.The Clinician will facilitate this process by assisting the client, family and referral sources. They also provide information to clients, families and referral sources regarding treatment programs, insurance and admission procedures.

Hours:

Full Time, Night Shift, 3 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

Intake Registered Nurse Experience:

Registered Nurse RN, licensed in the State of Michigan required.

Experience in emergency care, mental health or psychiatric treatment required.
