About the Role

Our award-winning Food and Beverage Team have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Sommelier to join them in creating magical dining experiences for our guests. Assisting as part of our Restaurant Management Team, this role isfully responsible for the wine service including set up, service of pre-dinner drinks within our restaurants, upselling our extensive wine list and offering dessert wine, liqueurs or any other after dinner drink.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Providing exceptional customer service to all guests dining within our resort.

· Full responsibility for start to end wine service within our restaurant outlets, creating a magical dining experience for our guests.

· To hold full responsibility for the upkeep of the cellar, controlling the ordering, checking vintages and stock levels and updating the wine list when required.

· Overseeing all stock, equipment, maintenance, storage, systems and policies within the department. Ensure all appropriate administration is completed correctly and on time.

· Have a clear understanding and strong knowledge of the composition of all dishes on the menus.

· Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant and still room areas before, during and after service and are in accordance with the hotel’s standards of practice

· Promote the restaurant whenever possible and encourage guests to return.

· Accountable for organizing and delivering regular departmental training sessions, pre-service meetings.

About You

You will be a capable, confident and enthusiastic individual who prides themselves on delivering exceptional customer service and creating a memorable dining experience. You will have strong experience working within Food and Beverage and be able to demonstrate meeting sales targets.WSET qualifications are essential for this role.

Salary

This is a permanent opportunity working 40 hours per week over a flexible shift pattern, which will be discussed during the interview. A competitive salary is offered along with TRONC and a vast range of excellent employee benefits.
