Title: Sr. Systems Engineer
Location: On site in Springfield, VA
Citizenship/Clearance Requirement: US Citizen with an ActiveTS/SCI clearance required.This position supports a government contract.
Job Description:
Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects
Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology
Coaches, provide guidance, and unblocks less-experienced professionals in their tasks
Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time
Works with the team to plan future sprints, define stories and estimate efforts
Prepares and produces releases of software components
May serve as a team or task lead
QUALIFICATIONS:
-5+ years of related software development experience
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
-Active TS/SCI clearance
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other business-related field
Expert inPythonlanguage (or similar)
Strong experience building and working with container images (Kubernetes, Docker)
Strong understanding of DevSecOps and software/application development processes
Experience deploying to RedHatOpenshiftContainer Platform
Experience writing infrastructure as code (Helm/Terraform)
Experience with utilizing CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus
Experience with deploying to on prem/data center infrastructure
Experience using Jira and Confluence on a daily basis
Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team
Desired skills:
Experience withElasticSearch, GoLang
Experience with GraphDBs (Neo4j/RedisGraph)
Experience with Messaging Systems (NATS Jetstream/Pulsar)
