At Mercy Medical Center the Recovery Support Coordinator works as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and integrate addiction and recovery services within Mercy Medical Center. Responsible for identifying, supporting, and evaluating patients with substance use disorders. Works closely with the Addiction Consult Service provider to develop an appropriate and individualized treatment plan including the initiation of medication assisted treatment and coordination of care post-discharge. Provides support and supervision to the Recovery Coach on site.

What you will do

Acts as a liaison between emergency department, inpatient medical units, community outpatient services for SUDs and behavioral health services to ensure appropriate assessment, triage, and engagement of Mercy Medical Center patients as well as Supervises the Recovery coach on site and manages the relationship with the outside agency providing the services. This includes all hiring, training, discipline, and termination decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.

  • Licensure : Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Massachusetts.

  • Experience Three (3) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years working in substance use disorders.

Work Schedule : Full time – 40 Hours, Days
