Chief Financial Officer Full Time Springfield, MA, US Requisition ID: 1841 Salary Range: \$120,000.00 To 120,000.00 Annually The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering survivors. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our programs and services include crisis shelter and transitional housing for survivors and their families, counseling, SAFEPLAN court advocacy, community education, supervised visitation, and vocational training for youth. The YWCA provides services at multiple locations, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield and our primary Springfield campus. The YWCA is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our team. Our CFO is primarily responsible for safeguarding the assets of the YWCA through the development, implementation, maintenance, and oversight of the YWCA\'s financial and facility related activities. As a member of the senior management team, the CFO brings vision and leadership to the discussion, selection, and implementation of plans to support the financial aspects of the YWCA\'s mission. The CFO leads the development of and continually monitors the annual budget, including responsible management of all debt and borrowing, organizational financial statement preparation and reporting, and coordinates the annual audit process. For direct reports, provides instruction/guidance in proper methods and procedures; monitors and verifies compliance. This position is full-time, on-site and provides excellent benefits for those who qualify. Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Schedule: Full time, 37.5 hours/week Location: Springfield, MA FLSA Status: Exempt Salary: \$120,000/annually Primary Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to: As a member of the management team, work collaboratively to ensure the Agency\'s strategic goals are met, with input into Agency direction, protocols, procedures, and strategic planning. Administer all financial plans and budgets with accuracy, clarity, completeness, timeliness, and integrity of all financial reporting and its compliance with financial accounting standards and government regulations, as appropriate. Monitor progress and changes and devise effective methods to keep management team informed of revenue and expense tracking against budget. Monitor and oversight of project/program, grants accounting and staff. Review, revise, and maintain internal accounting controls and procedures to safeguard YWCA assets. Manage Agency owned and rented facilities and properties: anticipate, research, and oversee maintenance and service needs, tenant and vendor agreements, and approve related expenses to budget. Participate in the representation of the organization in the collective bargaining process for Union labor contract negotiations, agency health care plan, liability coverage, and property insurance. Qualifications MBA or finance-specific degree such as accounting preferred. Minimum of five years\' experience coordinating audit activities, managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and payroll. Excellent analytic, communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills. Must be highly ethical with a high level of integrity, self-motivation and reliability. Five years or more experience with automated accounting systems required. Experience with RFPs, RFQs and systems implementation experience preferred. Certified Public Accountant is preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
