Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill the remote level two Quality Process Coordinator position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This entry-level position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for maintaining and improving quality processes. You will support the quality assurance team by performing various administrative and operational tasks that help in identifying, preventing, and resolving quality issues.

This position plays a pivotal role in our Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) initiatives while working closely with the Program Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate will be crucial in upholding our commitment to CMMI standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring top-tier quality across all projects.

As a strategic thinker with a demonstrated talent for analyzing and optimizing team processes, you will play a key role in enhancing our quality management framework and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your contributions will be instrumental in guiding our teams to achieve and exceed organizational goals.

As the coordinator, you will focus extensively on analyzing and documenting processes. This will involve routine interaction with project managers and other staff to streamline and improve processes. You will identify and prioritize manual processes for automation, maintain comprehensive process documentation, and conduct spot checks, inspections, and validations to ensure ongoing compliance and quality.

Job Requirements:

Skills / Experience Required

  • Assist with and develop, document, and improve processes to ensure compliance with CMMI standards
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure process adherence and effectiveness
  • Provide training and support to teams on CMMI practices and methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and develop action plans
  • Monitor and report on process performance metrics and progress toward CMMI goals
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CMMI, providing guidance and expertise to project teams
  • Proven experience in process improvement and quality management, with a strong focus on CMMI
  • Deep understanding of CMMI principles, practices, and implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and support teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage process improvement initiatives across diverse teams
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of products, services, and processes to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related issues
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality assurance activities
  • Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and feedback
  • Assist in training staff on quality assurance standards and practices

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business Management, or Quality Management
  • Relevant certifications such as CMMI Associate, CMMI Professional, Six Sigma, or similar

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
