The Program Manager - DC Automation Engineer (DCAE) will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to streamline and optimize our data center operations. The DCAE plays a crucial part in enhancing our service delivery through ServiceNow development, automated testing, workflow enhancements, and meticulous requirements gathering. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, automation principles, and a passion for driving efficiency and innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
DC Automation Engineer (DCAE)
- Develop, customize, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations to support data center automation initiatives.
- Design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks for data center infrastructure and applications.
- Plan and execute comprehensive testing for ServiceNow upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Design and implement workflow enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance service quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for automation projects.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES
- Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Experience with workflow automation and orchestration tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer) are beneficial.
- Experience in Tableau, PowerBI, or similar software are beneficial.
- Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook and Markdown is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Current valid driver\'s license and ability to provide personal transportation.
