DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Senior Process Control Engineer, you will be involved in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and improvements process of automated process controls systems in a modern industrial setting. You will support PPG on a global basis through the knowledgeable deployment of automated process to increase productivity, improve uniformity of process, reduction of waste and elimination of error.

Key Responsibilities * Develop, and startup of control strategies for batch applications in the resin and coatings industries. * Develop high quality, well tested and well documented process control system software and hardware to meet customer specifications: I/O definition Instruments and related control loops Batch System Control Strategies Sequencing Strategies Full Recipe Control * Perform as a lead technical person on mid-sized projects and ensure the execution and quality of the deliverables. * Help with system startup and field check-out. * Evaluate, suggest, any improvement or retrofit of our existing systems. * Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and respect all PPG EH&S and ethical standards.
Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering and 5 years experience working on automated controls in a manufacturing environment. * Must have experience with PLC and SCADA system development - preferably with Allen Bradley PLC and GE iFIX SCADA. * Project management an asset - preferable with a PMP certification
