DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Product Reporting Technician Springdale, PA
As the Product Reporting Technician, you will facilitate the incoming requests for the Coil and Extrusion Color Lab, whether by phone, email or through INDX. You will also work in a team setting to facilitate the following: Color-match Requests, Panel Requests, Document Requests, Shipping and communication to the customer whether by phone or email.
You will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office at our Springdale, PA facility and report directly to the Technical Supervisor in the S&T Product Development Group.
Responsibilities: * Communicate with customers regarding questions, status and direction of Color and Document Requests * Review all incoming Color Requests, both panel or color-match + Confirm code resides in Oracle for all Panel Requests + Process a formula generator in tandem with RDMO for any existing code that does not currently reside in Oracle + Perform an initial color assessment for all incoming mail + Initiate and/or complete the INDX form for all Color Requests + Facilitate the initial assignment of all Color Requests * Review all incoming Document Requests (Product Data Sheet, Safety Data Sheet, Environmental Data Sheet) + Initiate and/or complete all document requests + Process a formula generator or work in tandem with RDMO to generate a formula in Oracle + Work in tandem with Customer Response Team in regard to Formula / Document updates and approvals * Facilitate the daily shipments and completion of all Color Requests
Qualifications: * High school Diploma OR Equivalent Required. * Associate or bachelor's degree with a focus on science or business administration and/or Industrial coatings experience is preferred * Strong data manipulation skills and sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other relational databases (Oracle & INDX) * Ability to research problems independently and make recommendations for resolution, is able to identify and implement improvements to existing processes, and can use existing systems to supervise and manage requests and issues * Ability to work in a team atmosphere - willingness to help a team member in need, commitment to making sure team members are informed on any developments with the workload * Strong communication skills - Customer Service experience is preferred * General understanding of paint and color matching is a plus
