SUMMARY:

The Sr Analyst is responsible for acquiring, analyzing, communicating, and acting upon quantitative and qualitative data generated from Tyson\'s purchasing, operations, and accounting processes. This position will directly support category management teams and other various sourcing stakeholders within the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) function.

The Sr Analyst demonstrates a high level of independent and critical thinking as well as the ability to function with various business groups. This position requires accurate interpretation of statistical information to support strategic decision making that align with department and company goals.

Convert data into actionable information by performing advance analysis including forecasting, risk assessment, and market trends. This position is responsible for spend reporting and analysis, ensuring that historical spend reports are complete and accurate. Other responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and facilitating sourcing events
  • Assembling and facilitating quarterly budget guidance
  • Providing competitive analysis
  • Market and risk analysis
  • Financial impact evaluations
  • Developing presentations

Additionally, the Sr Analyst will directly support category management teams by facilitating the setup and execution of sourcing events within Coupa Sourcing Optimization platform. This position will conduct detailed post-event analysis of bid responses and making recommendations to category management teams to achieve the category\'s strategic goals.

The Sr Analysis must exercise good judgement to make sound decisions based on business metrics, fact base criteria, and looks beyond symptoms to determine the root cause of problem. This position must integrate knowledge and expertise in making fact-based recommendations and decisions.

Must demonstrate ability to breakdown complex problems into a structured framework to effectively identify and quantify cost drivers, determine key information, identify alternative approaches, and present recommendations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Professional with a strong financial or accounting knowledge and solid business acumen. Professional with experience supporting category management, strategic sourcing, or procurement processes. Professional who works well in a face-paced team environment and demonstrates the desire to help and support other functions and teams.

  • Background in sourcing or commodity management
  • Solid understanding of SAP S4 / HANA procure-to-pay functionality as well as source-to-pay suites (such as Coupa)
  • Advanced skills in MS Access to create and perform complex analytics and accurate analytical models
  • 2+ years of experience using Power BI to create datasets, data flows, visual reports
  • 2+ years of experience using GCP BigQuery
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL Queries
  • Command Line Utilities

Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other equivalent Supply Management focused work experience. Master\'s Degree preferred.

Experience: 5+ years\' experience in business analytics, procurement, sourcing, category management, or other equivalent experience. Working knowledge of systems (such as SAP, Coupa, Oracle, GCP, Power BI and SQL Query etc.) is strongly preferred.

Computer Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills are required. Knowledge of pivot tables, advanced formulas, building charts, are required. Strong presentation skills and use of MS PowerPoint is required. Working knowledge of MS Power BI, with experience creating basic visual reports is preferred. Strong skills in GCP BigQuery and SQL Queries

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability t handle all situations in a professional manner. Public speaking experience is preferred. Proven ability to influence and persuade other stakeholders is preferred.

Supervisory: This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: Not required but may participate in 2-3 domestic trips per year.
