HP Inc. Returns Operations Business Analyst III in Spring, Texas

Job Summary

  • Applies developed knowledge of reverse supply chain acquired through specialized training, education, or previous experience to support NA returns operations partner performance metrics and dashboards, inventory, and product management. Responsible to work with returns operations business partner managers and finance to support operational business issues within established guidelines. Exercises independent judgment to partner support and applications within returns operations. Acts as team or project leader by providing direction to information, analysis, and recommendations in support of team efforts. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a broad range of moderately complex reverse supply chain processes, such as inventory and product disposition analyses, for returns operations. inventory management and identifying issues and their impact

  • Independently executes the remanufacturing operations analysis activities, inventory management and identifying issues and their impact.

  • Gathers operational performance data and metrics from operations manager and partners to synthesize information using complex analysis, develops PBI dashboards, and delivers reporting to operations and finance.

  • Coordinates or leads regional returns planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes. Identifies opportunities for process improvement, digital transformation, automation and develops & implements recommendations

  • Contributes to priority projects with complex analysis and assists in developing recommendations for business partner managers.

  • Communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit teams.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 4-6 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.

  • Experience in more than one supply chain function, including partner relations and inventory management.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make, deliver, return).

  • Familiarity of post sales processes, returns and refurbishment.

  • Very strong negotiation skills, attention to details; and have the ability to stay firm and push back on operations negotiation.

  • Very strong analytical and data modeling skills.

  • Proven relationship management skills.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and financial modeling.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of how to develop and manage automated digital dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, etc,).

  • Strong knowledge of SAP.

  • Strong project management skills to lead cross functional teams.

  • Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility,

  • Strong understanding of HP's overall supply chain strategy.

  • Thorough knowledge of inventory analysis.

  • Developed leadership skills including team building and conflict resolution and management.

The base pay range for this role is $77,300 -$85,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
