Description Tim Few with Robert Half is seeking a diligent Tax Staff for our client in Spartanburg, SC. This is a direct permanent opportunity and all inquiries remain confidential!
This is a reputable CPA Firm with a strong track record for growth and offering career development. The primary role of the Tax Staff involves a range of tax-related responsibilities, including the preparation of tax returns and the implementation of tax strategies. This position provides an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment and contribute to the firm's tax operations.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of tax returns in compliance with tax laws and regulations • Conduct regular reviews and updates of customer tax records • Utilize tax software such as UltraTax, QuickBooks, Peachtree, Sage, and CCH engagement for tax operations • Provide excellent customer service by resolving tax-related inquiries promptly and effectively • Work collaboratively with the audit and accounting department to ensure smooth operations • Conduct regular audits and monitor cash activity to ensure compliance with tax laws • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and accounting functions • Regularly update skills and knowledge in tax forms • Contribute to the team by cross-training with retiring tax staff to ensure continuity and efficiency in tax operations • Participate in the implementation of tax strategies to optimize tax processes Requirements • Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and Gosystem. • Experience with Management System software. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. • Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions. • Experience in Auditing and managing Cash Activity. • Knowledge of Compliance standards in a CPA firm. • Strong Customer Service skills. • Ability to use Tax Forms effectively. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work well in a team and independently. • High attention to detail and accuracy in work. • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks. • Experience in a public accounting or consulting firm is a plus.
