Assistant Womens Basketball Coach

The Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball will report to the Head Women's Basketball Coach and aid in practice planning, game strategy, and on-court instruction, as well as operational support for all areas of the University of South Carolina Upstate Women's Basketball programs.
- Assists the Head Coach with game and practice preparation, including scouting and game planning for opponents. Also responsible for on-court instruction in practices and organized workouts.
- Will coordinate team travel (hotels, flights, charter busses, etc.) and assist with coordinating and organizing outbound recruiting travel for coaching staff and inbound recruiting travel for prospective student-athletes. This includes but is not limited to preparing itineraries for team travel and responsibility for tracking and monitoring the teams travel budget.
- Will be the program liaison to athletics administration for all business office functions, social media, program promotion and publicity, student-athlete housing and community outreach programming.
- Will plan and organize all team meals during travel and post-game meals after home games.
- Responsible for the coordination, promotion and business management of camps
- Responsible for all aspects of equipment and apparel program, including submitting annual team and staff apparel orders, maintaining current inventory, and distribution of apparel
- Will perform other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Basketball Coach
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and two years previous college coaching and/or playing experience required. Proof of valid drivers license and good driving record required. A successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience includes knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Salary
: $19.23 per hour
