Management Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant for a contract to hire opportunity in Southlake. This is 100% onsite. We are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Southlake, Texas. The Senior Accountant focuses on executing month-end and year-end close processes to provide accurate financial information. You will be using your advanced Excel skills and accounting knowledge to spot errors, suggest improvements, and assist in the external audit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced Excel functions to establish and manage financial reports and models.

• Contribute to monthly close processes through preparation of journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting by executing month-end and year-end close processes.

• Perform account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting activities.

• Aid in the annual external audit.

• Review and propose modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

• Summarize financial status by analyzing financial information.

• Spot errors and propose ways to boost efficiency and reduce spending.

• Carry out balance sheet account reconciliations.

Requirements

• Applicant must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of an Accountant.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation effectively is necessary.

• Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations is mandatory.

• Knowledge of General Ledger management is essential.

• Ability to handle Journal Entries with accuracy is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

• Expertise in Month End Close operations is needed.

• Experience in managing Accruals is expected.

• Proficiency in Credit Card Reconciliation is necessary.

• Ability to prepare Financial Statements accurately is a key requirement.
