Corewell Health Senior Financial Analyst in Southfield, Michigan
Job Summary
Prepares, researches, and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.
Essential Functions
Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Provides guidance on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
Serves as a consultant to assigned areas of the organization to support the financial goals and objectives of Corewell Health.
Performs a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, and performing research an analysis
Assist the Controller with the preparation of data presented to executive leadership
Have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner
Possesses strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field
3 years of relevant experience Finance, accounting or related work
Preferred
Master's Degree Business or finance
Formal or informal leadership experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan
