Description
Established life sciences company based in South San Francisco, CA has an immediate opening for a Contracts Manager! This Contracts Manager will join the legal team and will provide professional legal support services in connection with generating, processing, drafting, finalizing, and administering contracts. As a Contracts Manager with this organization, you will be expected to oversee a high volume of contracts that are received daily by the Legal Department and to collaborate with the Legal team and a variety of departments within the organization to ensure the contracts are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with company policies. This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days per week in the office and two days per week remote. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of contracts management experience; prior life sciences industry working with clinical trial agreements is required.
Responsibilities:
Partner with internal clients to prepare certain agreements and flag issues for attorney review when needed
Communicate the advice of Legal department to businesses to manage legal risks
Manage contract workflow and approval process, including verifying that internal requirements are met, monitoring status, securing signatures, etc.
Draft, review, analyze and negotiate standard contracts (g., non-disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, clinical trial agreements, services agreements, work orders under master services agreements, license agreements, etc.)
Use the online contract management system and act as first point of contact for user questions
Own standard contract templates and playbook database for allocated businesses and maintain and recommend updates as needed
Work with the attorneys on special projects
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Contracts Manager role
Demonstrated proficiency working with Clinical Trial Agreement practices
Prior life sciences industry experience is required for consideration
Experience with contract redlining and negotiation is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven track record of managing multiple contracts simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
