The Junior Financial Analyst will join our client's US Tax Operations team, responsible for handling all reporting obligations for the Firm's Wealth Management and Institutional clients. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with IRS regulations and maintaining accurate cost basis records for client assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support: Collaborate with cross-organizational operations teams to handle queries, reconcile discrepancies between processing systems, and ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting.
Gain/Loss Reporting: Maintain cost basis records and provide Gain/Loss reporting for assets held in MS Wealth Management customer accounts.
Strategic Initiatives: Support requirements gathering and testing of strategic platform initiatives related to tax operations.
Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively to meet operational and annual deadlines.
Quality Assurance: Demonstrate attention to detail and maintain high standards of quality in all work produced.
Decision Making: Exercise sound and decisive judgment in resolving issues and making recommendations.
Requirements:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a Business field or relevant experience in the Financial Industry.
Understanding of general accounting principles and process controls as they to the industry.
Proficiency in database, spreadsheet applications, and data modeling, including Microsoft Excel, Access, and other Office applications.
Superior communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders.
