South Bend Empowerment Zone In-School Suspension Supervisor (SY 24-25) in South Bend, Indiana
POSITION TITLE: In School Suspension Supervisor CONTRACT LENGTH: School Year IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Building Principal POSITION SUMMARY: To supervise in the Rally Room area at all times, students who do not act appropriately according to policy/procedure in the classroom. DUTIES: Tier 2 Support Non-Punitive approach to discipline and classroom management. A safe place for students to express their feelings and frustrations. A place that promotes self-reflection and self-awareness. It's an opportunity to establish and develop positive relationships and it's a respite for students allowing them to reset and successfully continue on with their day. Other duties as assigned by principal. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have ability to supervise students and maintain a quiet and orderly business like atmosphere. Maintain neat and accurate records. Attendance must be excellent. Works in standard office and school building environments. Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours. Must be able to handle stress. COMPENSATION: For hourly staff, we have a new minimum wage of $16 per hour. *This position is subject to grant funding.
