South Bend Empowerment Zone Art Teacher (SY 24-25) in South Bend, Indiana
POSITION TITLE: ART TEACHER POSITION SUMMARY: Assumes professional responsibility for providing learning experiences in the visual arts and supervision of students in a supportive and positive climate that develops in each student the skills, attitudes and knowledge to meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards, using approved curricula, materials, and directives of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Art Teacher work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and parents. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Indiana teaching license in education or art Bachelor’s degree COMPENSATION Starting salary for new teachers with 0 years' experience will be $46,000 for SY24-25. Compensation increases with experience and education, according to the current salary placement schedule. (Placement to be assessed during the onboarding process and includes prior employment verifications.)
