Description
We are seeking a Tax Preparer to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. This role is focused on preparing complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and small businesses. This opportunity offers a contract employment, requiring presence on-site for part-time hours, with an increase during busy periods.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals
• Prepare trust and gift tax returns
• Utilize accounting software systems for tax preparation
• Work extensively with Microsoft Excel to manage financial records
• Manage annual tax preparations, including multi-state tax returns
• Handle tax matters related to trusts, including trust tax return
• Liaise with the IRS on tax-related matters
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns
• Manage and process trust returns.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Expertise in preparing Annual Tax, and Trust tax return
• Understanding of IRS regulations and guidelines
• Experience in preparing Multi-state Tax Returns
• Ability to handle Complex Tax Return, Corporate Tax Return, Individual Tax Return, and Trust Returns
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
