POSITION SUMMARY:
A Procurement Logistics Category Analyst is a specialized professional who operates at the intersection of supply chain management and financial analysis. This position has a critical role in optimizing procurement activities by evaluating suppliers, analyzing cost structures, and assessing the overall value obtained from procurement endeavors. This role is crucial for supporting the use of digital tools and development of robust procurement strategies, key performance indicator (KPI), dashboards, enabling the organization to take decisions that drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in acquiring goods and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings, and create spend analysis reports.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, service, and capacity.
Develop and maintain supplier performance scorecards.
Monitor market trends to anticipate price changes and supply chain disruptions.
Implement procurement strategies and policies in alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
Utilize procurement software and tools to streamline purchasing processes and data analysis.
Prepare and present reports on procurement metrics, progress, and savings achieved from cost reduction initiatives to management.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in procurement operations.
Analyze industry trends and market competition to develop business improvement initiatives.
Support opportunity assessments and benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities.
Assist the Procurement and Legal Teams in the administration of contract data, addendums, and additional supplier documentation.
Review contracts to ensure compliance with pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, and rebates.
Support risk management assessments related to supplier vulnerability, sourcing options, and material availability.
Understand business objectives to generate project information, action items, schedules, and deliverables for the team.
Provide recommendations on procurement-related issues, plans, reports, training, and metrics.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in the Data Analysis, Supply Chain or Procurement
Experience in SAP, Power BI, Ariba and other advanced data analytics tools and indexes such as Jaegger, DAT, CASS, is preferred
Advanced Experience in Microsoft; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
SKILLS :
Ability to work on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of techniques and processes involved in strategic sourcing.
Mathematical and reasoning skills required for proper analysis of bids, inclusive of differential pricing analysis and total cost of ownership
Excellent organizational skills including planning, standards of excellence, personal accountability, and managing self.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills with experience in manipulating data within large database systems and cost savings evaluations
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet analysis, using Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Problem solving skills to effectively address complex issues that arise in a category, with suppliers.

The approximate pay range for this position is $69,068 to $90,314 Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
