All workers should be physically able to meet and perform the work outlined in the contract for the entire period of time from 05/01/20205 to 2/28/2026. Seasonal workers are needed for a busy cattle farm during peak times to accomplish the following duties: Feed and water animals, clean barn, help with calving. Must be able to identify, separate and move into separate pens the cattle which have given birth from those which are still pregnant. Further duties will include but are not limited to branding, vaccinating, skinning, castrating, pregnancy checks, artificial insemination, embryo transplanting, medicating, sorting and loading on trucks for transport to pasture or market. Must be able to install and move portable processing and loading corrals. Will repair and maintain supply water lines and troughs. Clean barns and perform general grounds maintenance around the farm including mowing, weed-eating, brush removal, pick up debris, etc. Workers will operate tractors and use implements to plant, cultivate and harvest hay. Maintain, repair and build farm buildings and barns, paint, maintain and repair fences, excavate as needed to remove brush or prepare land for farm building. Worker must have 6 months of experience of livestock and be able to assist in the birthing process of cattle. Will be required to operate vehicles for supplementing feed and water for livestock as needed. Will be required to move cattle to different fenced pastures assuring that the nutritional needs of livestock and good husbandry practices of livestock are met. Employer will conduct drug screens at their own expense, post hire, upon accident, incidence or suspicion. Failure or refusal of a drug screen is grounds for immediate termination. No drugs or alcohol is permitted at the work-site or housing. Work hours may increase during peak planting and harvesting season. Workers who have a valid drivers license may operate employer owned vehicles.
