Role reports to: The Director of Global Capabilities, Training

Location: Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025 .

Travel %: 25%

Pay: $97,000 to $166,750

What you will do

The Manager, Commercial Training designs training strategy and associated curriculum for Consumer Customer Development and marketing team members, supporting organizational talent development. The incumbent develops and delivers programs and training events that incorporate instructional design best practices in areas such as selling skills, negotiation skills, financial acumen, communication skills and business process. The incumbent is responsible to manage content development, delivery methodology, materials production, marketing and execution/measurement of training programs. Training area responsibilities may include on-boarding programs, product knowledge and/or ongoing skills development based on industry trends. The incumbent manages and supports key business projects that enhance training capabilities and outcomes for Kenvue, including support the development and embedding of the Science of Brand Growth Capability. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Key responsibilities:

Designs, develops, and delivers programs that align with overall business strategies and vision.

Identifies needs and develops/delivers best-in-class training programs in areas such as product knowledge, selling skills, on-boarding, recruitment, coaching, budget management/resource management and business process.

Customizes off-the-shelf training materials to meet organizational needs and objectives.

Prepares curriculum maps for assigned populations within the organization to ensure that a ready pool of talent is available and trained to fill future openings.

Delivers effective adult learning activities using a variety of training venues, including classroom activities, on-line training, webcasts, individual coaching, peer mentoring and team sessions.

Monitors the progress and efficacy of training programs: Establishes and communicates key learning objectives at the onset of training. Administers written evaluations and analyzes and adjusts as necessary per results of analysis. Monitors post-training results in the field.

Designs, develops, and delivers on-boarding and transition training.

Incorporates budgetary constraints into all program and project plans. Maximizes spending through thorough research and analysis. Exercises good judgment when proposing programs.

Leverages the procurement process to contract with outside vendors and negotiates value-added services that achieve goals and objectives established in the Commercial Skills development Roadmap.

Manages vendor relationships for contracted programs. Maintains relationships and networks throughout the vendor community to increase the quality of outputs.

Proactively researches and benchmarks industry best practices. Evaluates, recommends, tailors, and deploys new programs.

Partners with the SoBG training Sr manager and with other commercial leaders' team to identify, recommend, develop, and deliver programs that will support and enhance the performance of our organization, specially on the core SoBG capabilities

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:
4-yr degree or equivalent is required
A minimum 8 years work experience with at least of 5 years prior experience coming from consumer package goods (CPG) or related industry is required
Prior experience in direct customer sales is required.
Ability to complete assigned work/projects in an error-free, complete method, while meeting deadlines
Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex matrix, changing environment
Ability to work effectively with different styles; demonstrates emotional intelligence and good judgment and be able to adapt style to diverse audiences.
Ability to influence decision-makers up and down one or more levels, with and without direct authority, to ensure a fully aligned customer/company business plan
Demonstrate effective communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
Ability to devise and deliver persuasive presentations, based on data-driven insights and facts, to gain support for business strategies and/or initiatives
Ability to coach and develop others
This position requires up to 25% travel


Desired Qualifications:
eCommerce/Digital Marketing experience preferred
Experience in instructional design/training preferred
Business analytics or customer strategy and/or category management is highly preferred

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $97,000 to $166,750. This takes into account a number of factors including...
