Role reports to: Competitive Intelligence Manager

Location: Skillman, NJ Kenvue’s corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ , but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.

Travel %: 5%

Pay : $72-102K

What you will do

The Kenvue Competitive Intelligence team is responsible for analyzing competitors’ performance, identifying key industry trends, and understanding competitors’ strategic priorities. The Competitive Intelligence Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for consolidating and analyzing competitors’ financial results and forecast, while benchmarking against Kenvue’s performance to help the business deliver its goals and identify areas of opportunity. Our analyses incorporate various types of data & research (i.e., company publications, Investment Banking research, Industry Trade Publications, and financial data platforms) which is used to deliver key insights on the external market and provide in-depth analyses on our competitive position to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quarterly competitor forecast updates including consolidating financial projections, analyzing industry and competitor behavior and trends, developing financial messaging, and benchmarking against competitive composites to drive insights and improve business performance.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to provide insights on potential opportunities and threats in the CPG industry.

  • Present competitor and industry insights quarterly to the CFO and the Kenvue Leadership team, identifying the underlying drivers of performance and effectively communicating opportunities for improvement.

  • Conduct competitive intelligence research and analysis to support business initiatives for cross-functional business partners including Investor Relations, Strategy, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.

  • Drive initiatives to streamline and automate competitor intelligence, including partnership with Kenvue’s generative AI team.

  • Contribute to global projects and initiatives, providing support to the broader Global FP&A team including ad-hoc financial analysis and business performance decks to leadership.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.

  • 4 years of experience in accounting or finance.

  • 1 years of experience in reporting or business analytics.

  • The capability of navigating financial statements (Income Statements, Balance Sheet & Statement of Cash Flow) and GAAP to Non-GAAP reconciliations.

  • Knowledge and understanding of external markets, competitive landscape in the Consumer Health Industry, as well as a thorough understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry.

  • Highly motivated individual with a strong background in strategic and analytical thinking, that can clearly demonstrate strong framing and presentation skills and welcomes challenging situations and assignments.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional certification (CMA, CPA) and/or MBA preferred.

  • Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.

  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and/or International Financial Reporting Standards.

  • Familiarity and proficiency extracting external data from market research tools such as Bloomberg, AlphaSense, VisibleAlpha, FactSet, Capital IQ, and/or LSEG/Refinitiv.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools and have an intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
