We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Labor Relations Manager - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Vice President Labor Relations Snr Manager - C13 ) based in Singapore.

As part of Citi’s HR Transformation, we are building a Labor Relations team across the Asia South cluster. This role holder will be part of the Asia South Banking & International HR team and will directly report to the Asia South Labor Relations Head.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Partner with the Employment Legal, Independent Compliance Risk Management, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), other business & HR team to respond to Labor authorities or regulators on employment related matters

  • Support Labor Department audits and/or inquiries

  • Partner with HR Policy team for Employee Handbook amendments and policy dissemination

  • Provide support to Employment Legal and CHRO on employment litigation processes.

  • Partner with the Employment Legal, Country Legal, HR Specialists and CHROs on Involuntary Terminations, collective dismissal(s) that require special support.

  • Liaise with internal and external legal counsel, Compliance, Risk, CISIS et al. in order to respond to Labor issues.

  • Maintains a strong network of external specialists and peers – able to benchmark Citi`s Labor Relations practice in the market and sensitive to both threats and opportunities for Citi brought about by external factors ie legislative/regulatory changes or changes in the market practice.

  • Work closely with CHRO to enable Information and decks for in-country governance/ reviews, board and regulatory meetings.

  • Enable reports for local regulators in conjunction with the relevant HR and business specialist teams.

  • Work with Cluster & / Global Labor relations partners for implementation of labor relations projects

  • Provide need-based support to the CHRO for driving in-country people agenda(s)

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • Extensive background in Employee Relations affairs, HR Risk & controls.

  • Demonstrated abilities in Industrial relations regulatory reporting, and stakeholder management.

  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills

  • Must be able to multi-task and effectively collaborate
