Role Summary:

The Regional Manager, Valve Aftermarket plays a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures while fostering an enterprise mindset among associates. With a focus on integrity, honesty, trust, and professionalism, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer support, both personally and through teams, to internal and external customers. Additionally, the Regional Manager, Valve Aftermarket establishes a standard of first-class communication and collaboration within their team. This role also involves playing a significant part in internal training and providing tactical technical and commercial sales support due to the highly technical nature of the products.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the boundaries of Aftermarket Services, strategic objectives, value proposition, and linkages to other products.

  • Develop a roadmap and set realistic targets for total revenue, gross margin, and market share for Service Programs over 1, 3, and 5-year horizons.

  • Define individual services within the product line required to meet overall program targets and objectives, including features, functionality, standard market level selling prices, lead times, and sales channels.

  • Create necessary tools and collateral for quoting, promoting, and selling products, and conduct associate and customer training on these tools and collateral.

  • Define and control global product technical definition in various configurators and pricing systems.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to define and create all necessary services literature and documentation, including website content and social media campaigns.

  • Lead competitive benchmarking efforts to ensure market positioning aligns with strategic objectives.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project charters for each project defined within the Services Roadmap, including design of long-term service contracts, promotion and advertising, product support programs, service center improvements, localization initiatives, strategic alliances, partnerships, etc.

  • Assess return on investment for each project and reconcile resource needs against individual unit or functional budgets.

  • Support execution of projects as required, monitoring overall volume, revenue, profitability, hit rate, and warranty costs of services before and after projects.

  • Visit customer sites to establish and maintain relationships with key contacts, maintaining deep technical intimacy with all aspects of services and programs.

  • Assist in necessary training in local regions, sub-regions, and provide tactical sales support as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • 8-10 years of experience in product, sales, applications, and/or engineering in a related field involving highly engineered specialty products in a global market setting.

  • Well-developed understanding of target industrial markets such as Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, Renewables, etc.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to assemble and manage cross-functional teams.

  • Expected 25-40% travel required.

  • Understanding of Flowserve’s systems and processes and financial principles including return on investment, discounted cash flow, etc.

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Previous experience in product support programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven track record in global market settings.
