The Opportunity:

Johnson and Johnson seek a functional SAP SD manager to join our Technology Services Supply Chain team. We develop, design, and deliver high-quality business applications on our Asia Pacific-based regional SAP systems. Our environment is open and highly collaborative, strongly emphasizing growing our internal SAP functional talent and capabilities based on Johnson & Johnson’s business process understandings.

Responsibilities :

As an integral part of the supply chain solution team, the role will lead a capacity team to design, build, and test SAP functions from end to end, working closely with stakeholders in sectors and regions. This role will be in Singapore.

  • This role leads the functional designs and the delivery, working with the business analysts, development team, and Integration technical teams. The SAP functional engineer is expected to groom the product backlog (collection of business requirements) to detail level functional requirements, deliver the designs & documents, and manage quality testing results.

  • This role requires hands-on work on the enhancements/project work to deliver functional specifications, configurations, and Testing. This leader supports the product owner and leads the functional & technical associates, including the in-house and vendor teams.

  • Continuously learn, share the learning, promote, and facilitate upskilling of the other functional team members:

  1. Jonson & Johnson APAC supply chain business processes (main processes and sub-processes), how they have been realized in SAP functional setup

  2. SAP Configurations and key developments (enhancements, interfaces, etc.) on APAC SAP platforms

  • Participate in cross-platform release planning and management reviews with peers. Helps facilitate the collection and reporting of metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices while managing the entire project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, configuration, testing, training, and deployment.

  • In case of major incidents in the relevant functional area, lead the resolution discussion for resolution.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 8 years of working with SAP SD (Sales Distribution) modules, with solid hands-on and project experiences

  • 3 years’ experience demonstrating vendor management capability in a global MNC company with high delivery quality, reliability, and velocity

  • Experience of leading functional team members, with a focus on technical expertise (not in the context of project manager/leader)

  • Good team player to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization

  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

Note:

  • This role is NOT a project manager role/business analyst. This role is required to perform the functional, hands-on work

  • The future progression is to grow as SAP functional principal for J&J, growing the team members on SAP skills, functional/process knowledge, and developing versatile skills (e.g., solution architecting for multiple modules, organizational leader)
