Kuehne+Nagel Contract Logistics Senior Customer Solutions Engineer in Singapore, Singapore

You will be part of our contract logistics team, adding your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence

Your Role

Your primary objective is to be successful in gaining + retaining customers by offering industry leading solutions. You will be working with internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives

Your Responsibilities

  • To manage others in the development of successful customer solutions.

  • To take the lead in major customer tender proposals, driving compelling logistics concepts.

  • To drive innovation, introducing + implementing new concepts + technology while building on existing best practices.

  • To present solutions to the customer as key part of the tendering process.

  • To be the business partner for your management team when addressing solution queries from customers, as well as challenging the status quo + customers in a constructive way where needed.

  • To manage partnerships with key vendors to optimize costing + lead-times.

  • To support the development of others in terms of skills + knowledge levels, assuring high standards of compliance.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, engineering, or information technology is required

  • 5 to 10 years or more. Experience in solution engineering, sales engineering, or a related technical role is essential.

  • Strong technical proficiency in the company's products or services, as well as a solid understanding of the industry and market trends.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills are a must. To analyze complex customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial. Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers and sales teams.

  • Ability to deliver compelling and persuasive presentations and demos to customers. This includes the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

  • A strong customer-centric approach is vital. Must understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet those needs.

  • Collaborative skills are important, as Solution Engineers often work closely with sales teams, product development, and other technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.

  • A good understanding of the sales process is essential. This includes the ability to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and support the sales team in closing deals.

  • Leadership Skills: the ability to lead and mentor junior solution engineers or technical teams may be necessary.
