The position will report directly to the Lead of Immunology Franchise and will work in close collaboration with cross-functional matrix including marketing, medical, access teams, KA and commercial team. In this role, and through the leadership of his or her direct reports, the Sotyktu Regional Sales Manager:

  • Has a thorough understanding of the company's strategy and applies it to work

  • Develops and communicates a compelling vision that is aligned with the overall business strategy to achieve company's objectives.

  • Allocates resources & activities (people/budget/activities) annually to achieve company objectives.

  • Manages and coaches ASM' and/or Sales Representatives' Teams to achieve shared goal.

  • Satisfies all the requirements of BMS BioPharma Behaviors and BMS Compliance Policy

  • Ensures ASM and Sales Representatives of the region achieve 100% implementation of Sales Effectiveness objectives and drive the accurate and effective implementation of BMS Force as a basic business tool.

  • Works closely with Marketing to ensure the effective implementation of marketing strategies for the region and takes accountability for implementing marketing plans to achieve region specific business results.

  • Maintains strong working relationships with other functions especially in terms of HEOR, Value Pack, and Disease Education & Marketing Strategy to solicit support in local decision making and execution in order to drive business performance.

  • Supports the Commercial team in bidding process and the implementation of commercial strategy, and Market Access team in reimbursement and hospital listing by providing all necessary information and taking all necessary actions timely.

  • Establishes and maintains consistent contacts with Key Opinion Leaders in the region via different communication tools.

  • Analyzes business opportunities & priorities in the region and interprets this information into business plan.

  • Closely monitors/addresses competitor's activities in the region, shares innovative ideas with his/her manager/team in order to achieve competitive superiority.

  • Plans, allocates and monitors key activities- NSSE, SSE and iHM.

  • Demonstrate capacity to understand and learn scientific information quickly and continuously through self-learning of published data in scientific literature and on internet and through attendance of symposia and congresses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Science required

  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 5 years of regional sales management

  • Proven track record demonstrating people and sales management competencies

  • Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, embracing teamwork, and project management within a cross-functional environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to effectively and efficiently drive performance are required

  • Ability to create a winning culture by motivating and enabling collaboration in the team to achieve key objectives in a complex and evolving market

Leading a Team:

  • Manages & optimizes Human Resources according to individual capabilities. Unleashes team members' potential and creativity to achieve optimal performance while in compliance with Company's code of business conduct and appropriate SOPs.

  • Is responsible for the team's results and compliance attitude and behaviors.

  • Creates a high morale and winning culture in the team by building mechanism to fully motivate and recognize team members. Defines a clear picture of own work and develop a plan to get the team there.

  • Holds team members accountable for driving individual and team performance, encourages innovation. Extends trust and provides autonomy for team members to own their work.

  • Establishes a common team value and mindset create a sense of belonging in the team and leverage the diversity of the team. Treats direct reports equitable and act fairly. Is open to get and give constructive & candied feedback to any employee in the team & organization

  • Builds a team culture of documenting information properly, managing knowledge & learning timely and appropriately with the information accessed when required. Professionally keeps confidential information following BMS guidelines and policies. Hold accountability for the appropriate information flow within his/her department, function, organization.

  • Builds up professional team image internally and externally which reflects the company culture and vision to customers or stakeholders. Leads and coach team to contribute proactively to enhance the company image.

Leading Compliance & Integrity Culture

  • Embrace BMS culture of integrity and strictly adhere to BMS policy, BMS White Book and Standards of Business Conduct &Ethics.

  • On a consistent (i.e., weekly or bi-weekly) basis, speaks with the team about the importance of compliance and integrity, and creates pride in BMS's commitment to compliance;

  • On a quarterly basis, provides compliance training to the team; answer the team's compliance questions, or refers them to an appropriate resource if s/he doesn't know the answer;

  • Actively monitors the team members to prevent non-compliant behavior and looks into details before approving any expenses

  • Provides constructive suggestions to improve the BMS China compliance program

  • Is a compliance role model and leads by example.

  • Takes accountability to own organized events and provides adequate documentations. If organizes any event, must comply with all company policy and makes sure all activities are closed within 90 days after the event date. If subordinates are responsible for organizing events, must monitor the responsible person close PO's within 90 days after the event date.

  • Is Compliant with the norms of the business communication, ethics, subordination, regulations of the confidentiality.

Leading Self:

  • Proactively obtains and innovatively refines the information including external market trends and the internal rules and regulations, internal procedures, messages, goals and vision of the management of the organization and shares relevant information with the team and colleagues timely to achieve company goal.

  • Timely performs tasks, orders and instructions of the manager.

  • Escalates / Reports to the manager of the department or function about all the challenges and shortcomings within Employee's power and competency.

  • Proposes motions for the work development related to the Role.
