Job Description
Johnson & Johnson MedTech China is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join a leading global legal organization. This Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing strategic and operational legal advice, supporting the MedTech China business and helping it achieve its goals, while protecting the company’s rights, interests and reputation. The Senior Legal Counsel will be reporting to the VP Law, MedTech China.
Main Responsibiliti es
l Provides overall legal support to a large business unit and several enabling functions of MedTech China and positively influences management to make well-considered decisions and to achieve compliant success with the business.
l Proactively identifies and assesses legal risks and implements policies, procedures, corrective & preventative actions and trainings to address and mitigate those risks.
l Provides guidance on, and ensures compliance with, relevant laws and regulations and J&J policies applicable to the operations of J&J MedTech China, including any relevant industry association codes.
l Supports new business development initiatives including due diligence reviews, negotiation of transactions and drafting/execution of deal documentation.
l Manages labor and commercial litigation, dispute resolution, and internal and external investigations.
l Manages, motivates and develops a team of three legal professionals.

Qualifications
JD, LLM, LLB or equivalent law degree from a reputable law school
License to practice law in China; qualification in another jurisdiction preferred
Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese Mandarin
Minimum 10 years PQE
Experience working in multinational corporations, ideally with experience in the healthcare industry
Broad corporate experience and experience with advising senior leaders
