Overview of Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for all billing, accounts payable, cash management and accounting record keeping activities in BlackRock-CCB Wealth Management Limited (“WMC”), as well as providing local representation for finance operations in offshore iHubs. This will involve managing all aspects of finance operation, safeguarding financial assets and playing a significant role in long-term planning toward operational excellence. It is key to the role to be able to develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Primary areas of responsibility include:

  • Ensuring the integrity of the financial data in accordance with applicable financial standards and regulatory frameworks, enabling management to make decisions based on factual information.

  • Working with APAC treasury team to manage company bank accounts to safeguard financial assets, improve capital efficiency and ensure sufficient liquidity for operation.

  • Maintaining, enhancing and monitoring billing and expense procedures, capturing supporting documents and official invoices in accordance with local regulations.

  • Responsible for fixed assets record and reconciliation, improving fixed assets management and ensuring the safety and integrity.

  • Be the key point of contact for WMC, acting as a conduit between local stakeholders and centralized support teams, especially identifying and closing gaps between BlackRock global policies and local requirements.

  • Involvement in ad hoc project work.

Experience and Skills

The individual will be highly organized, results orientated and have proven project management capabilities. The successful candidate should have the executive presence to effectively represent their function with senior management throughout BlackRock with a profile as follows:

  • CA / CPA license or equivalent with a strong academic record is preferable.

  • 3-5 years post-qualified experience, preferably with a wealth management, finance operation, corporate controllership and/or audit background in China.

  • CBIRC Wealth management company regulatory experience preferred.

  • Good command of Chinese and English with excellent MS Office software skill.

  • Strong awareness of accounting standards, preferably China & US GAAP, and Chinese finance regulations and tax rules.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work in a deadline driven environment.

  • Sound judgment, decision making and project management skills.

  • Consistent awareness and compliance to laws and regulations with highest integrity and honesty is a must.
