As a member of the R&D Simulation Team, during this internship you will primarily learn and contribute into the advanced bone morphology analysis tools for the development of new orthopeadic medical devices.

Our offer

  • You will work on our cross-site SOMA database for bone data and 3D models to optimize our products.

  • You perform statistical analysis based on the 3D bone models, interpret the results and communicate them to your colleagues.

  • You work closely with international colleagues from different departments.

  • With your work, you make a significant contribution to successful product development and support marketing and scientific collaborations.

  • Within the scope of your project, you will document the process steps carried out and the findings obtained by regularly preparing reports.

  • You use numerical simulations (e.g. finite element analysis and musculoskeletal modeling) and CAD software (e.g. Creo, Solidworks, ect) to evaluate new design concept and physical test setups for a new orthopeadic implant.

  • You collaborate with your physical testing peers to adapt the physical test so that it can address your simulation validation needs.

Your profile

  • You are studying biomedical technology, medical informatics or something comparable.

  • You have basic anatomical knowledge and ideally have already acquired expertise in the field of medical imaging, 3D software solutions or in the segmentation of DICOM data.

  • You enjoy familiarizing yourself with new software applications.

  • Your strengths include analytical and creative problem solving.

  • You are confident in using common MS Office applications and have a very good command of English.

  • An independent way of working, a high degree of motivation and commitment as well as the willingness to quickly take on responsibility characterize you.-

  • You have a basic knowledge and interest in numerical simulations (e.g. finite element methods (FEM)) and gained an initial experience in the corresponding software tools (e.g. Ansys, Abaqus, etc) as well as in CAD (e.g. SloidWorks etc).

  • Im Rahmen Deines Projektes dokumentierst Du die durchgefhrten Prozessschritte sowie gewonnene Erkenntnisse durch das regelmÄßige Anfertigen von Berichten.

  • Du verwendest numerische Simulationen (z. B. Finite-Elemente-Analyse und muskuloskelettales Modellieren) und CAD-Software (z. B. Creo, Solidworks usw.), um neue Designkonzepte und physische Testaufbauten fr ein neues orthopÄdisches Implantat zu evaluieren.

  • Du arbeitest mit deinen Kollegen aus dem physischen Testbereich zusammen, um den physischen Test so anzupassen, dass er die Anforderungen an die Simulationsvalidierung erfllt.

Das zeichnet Dich aus

  • Du studierst Medizintechnik, Medizininformatik oder etwas Vergleichbares.

  • Du besitzt grundlegende anatomische Kenntnisse und konntest Dir idealerweise bereits Fachwissen im Bereich der medizinischen Bildgebung sowie in der Segmentierung von DICOM-Daten aneignen.

  • Das Einarbeiten in neue Softwareanwendungen macht Dir Spaß.

  • Zu deinen StÄrken zÄhlen analytisches Arbeiten und kreative ProblemlÖsung.

  • Du bist sicher im Umgang mit den gÄngigen MS Office Anwendungen und verfgst ber sehr gute Englischkenntnisse.

  • Eine eigenstÄndige Arbeitsweise, ein hohes Maß an Motivation und Engagement sowie die Bereitschaft schnell Verantwortung zu bernehmen zeichnen Dich aus.
