U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in Selfridge ANG Base, Michigan

Summary About the Position: You will provide overall direction and guidance for the development and implementation of a comprehensive product support strategy for the materiel system throughout the system life cycle. Responsibilities Serves as the Supervisory Product Support Manager (PSM) for the assigned acquisition program reporting directly to the Program Executive Officer, Program Manager, or Product Manager. Plans, organizes, and directs the product support operations of the functional unit. Oversees cost estimating, planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability, product support integrators and product support providers, and oversight of the product support function. Reviews and approves selections, promotions, and reassignments of personnel. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify this position based on experience your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 level in the Federal Service, which includes the ability to: (1) Interpreting technical policy, procedures and regulations to ensure adherence to schedules and priorities; (2) Applying concepts and theories of logistics management to evaluate policies and proposals involving the assumption of major new logistics support missions and programs; (3) Briefing commands of program developments that affect distribution, logistics, and support planning; AND (4) Developing product support strategies and life cycle sustainment plans in accordance with Army acquisition policies and procedures. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 (or GS-13 equivalent). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Acquisition Strategy Decision Making Leadership Planning and Evaluating Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. Selectees must meet the position requirements for certification at Level 3 (Advanced) in Life Cycle Logistics within 48 months of entrance on duty.
