Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer who is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role requires a thorough understanding of quality engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment and a commitment to continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and non-conformances
Lead quality improvement initiatives, including process optimization, defect reduction, and cost savings projects
Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with design, production, and supply chain teams to develop and implement quality control plans and inspection criteria
Review and approve product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes to ensure they meet quality requirements
Conduct training sessions for employees on quality systems, procedures, and best practices
Analyze quality data and generate reports to track quality performance, trends, and improvement opportunities
Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction
Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous compliance and improvement
Multiple-site responsibilities, travel between sites will be required
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment preferred
Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies, including ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
Proven experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple quality improvement projects
Proficiency in using quality management software and tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is preferred
Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing quality issues
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred
