Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer who is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This role requires a thorough understanding of quality engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment and a commitment to continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and procedures to ensure compliance with ISO standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and non-conformances

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives, including process optimization, defect reduction, and cost savings projects

  • Perform internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement

  • Collaborate with design, production, and supply chain teams to develop and implement quality control plans and inspection criteria

  • Review and approve product designs, specifications, and manufacturing processes to ensure they meet quality requirements

  • Conduct training sessions for employees on quality systems, procedures, and best practices

  • Analyze quality data and generate reports to track quality performance, trends, and improvement opportunities

  • Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous compliance and improvement

  • Multiple-site responsibilities, travel between sites will be required

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies, including ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.

  • Proven experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multiple quality improvement projects

  • Proficiency in using quality management software and tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is preferred

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and addressing quality issues

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred
