The Childrens Place Associate Manager, Sourcing Operations in Secaucus, New Jersey

Job Summary:

The Associate Manager, Sourcing Operations will work with Sourcing associates to understand business processes and workflows. This position will provide guidance and training to Sourcing staff on improved processes and provide presentations to management on the benefits of newly implemented processes as well as report on current procedure/work flows. This position will implement and support changes to organization structures, business processes and protocols, product lifecycle calendars, and new and enhanced software capabilities. The Associate Manager will support the Sourcing organization to implement process changes as well as re-enforce current procedures are maintained and made common practice. Additionally, this position will run reporting and analyze the data for the entire Sourcing Organization.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • To partner with various levels of Sourcing leadership to explore, solidify, and present new sourcing strategies

  • To support the implementation of new organizational transformation initiatives, relating to sourcing operations,sourcing strategy, and vendor management

  • To utilize and reference business analytics in formulating proposals to enhance the operational efficiency andeffectiveness of the business with the goal to drive greater financial results

  • To develop, implement, and maintain sound business practices

  • To assist in developing reports, deliverables, and key KPI's tools

  • To build strong cross-functional partnerships with Sourcing, Planning, Finance, Merchandising, Logistics, Business Intelligence team to achieve the goals

  • Run reporting and conduct analysis for entire Sourcing Organization.

  • Support Sourcing Dept and cross-functional business processes that standardize and streamline ways of working

  • Prepare organizations for process change and actively support the change through day-to-day operations oversight

  • Provide research for executive reports on status for sampling, On-Time Delivery and overall business agendas.

  • Work with Sourcing associated to recommend report definition requirements and mockups to support business process operations

  • Contribute to the development of user documentation (guides, training materials, etc.)

  • Collaborate with Information Technology as needed to prioritize deliverables and ensure functionality for users

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or capacity (supply chain related experience is preferred)

  • Proven knowledge of data analysis, sourcing business operational flow and systems (e.g. SAP, Cognos, SDMS, PLM, Shared Point and Infor)

  • Solid experience with developing, implementing, and communicating new processes and tools

  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross functional partnerships to make effective decisions collaboratively

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Previous experience in assisting with large-scale organization transformations and system implementations (e.g., ERP, cloud-based applications, PLM) preferred

  • Solid experience with Power BI dashboard is a plus

  • Good command of both verbal and written English skills

  • Exposure to Global Sourcing metrics and analytics
