Amazon Sr. Technical Product Manager, AWS Elemental MediaTailor in Seattle, Washington

Description

AWS Elemental MediaTailor is a personalization and monetization service that allows scalable server-side ad insertion. The service enables you to serve targeted ads to viewers while maintaining broadcast quality in over-the-top (OTT) video applications. We are looking for an experienced Product Management professional to drive the evolution of a service that scales to millions of concurrent viewers.

You’ll have the opportunity to join a diverse team, and promote bold ideas that make a meaningful contribution to the global online video monetization market segment. Your work will touch customers globally, and you will be a key decision maker directing our investments in video and ad tech.

What you’ll do:

  • Listen to customers and potential customers to deeply understand their needs for the service

  • Set priorities for new development on the service - in conjunction with engineering, support, sales, external partners, and the AWS management team.

  • Develop and monitor internal business metrics, reporting on the health of the service from every perspective

  • Drive detailed feature requirements and user stories while working directly with customers and our Solutions Architects team

  • Author documents that shape our strategic investments

  • Develop your understand of the world of video monetization and video delivery to better support our customers

What you’ll do:

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience

  • 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

  • 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience

  • Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market

  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

  • Experience in ad tech or video delivery

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $137,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
