These engineers continue to innovate the platform, now home to over 1.5 million apps — each crafted using the team’s own software development kit and related services. All those apps mean the store takes billions of requests from more than 500 million visitors every week, across iOS, macOS, tvOS, iPadOS, watchOS and visionOS. To deliver such a rich experience at this scale, the engineers build high- performance systems backed up by robust testing. Description

The App Store Engineering team is looking for a talented engineer to work on the next generation of intelligent tools powering App Review. You will help us build AI/ML based workflows and integrate them into native client applications. The role will require use of Apple's APIs (Swift/Objective-C), Java, Python, and application/fine-tuning of ML and LLMs. Prior knowledge of all areas is not required, an eagerness to learn is. You will be putting these skills to use as we develop intelligent tools to aid App Review in their mission to swiftly, consistently, and accurately review applications, and to help developers in their mission to publish phenomenal apps. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and creative individual who can not only build, but also work collaboratively to define the future of these tools. Does this sound like you? Minimum Qualifications

  • One or more of the following languages: Swift, Objective-C, Python, Java

  • Familiarity with data storage technologies (ex: Cassandra, Oracle)

  • Strong communications skills (written, oral, presentation)

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

  • Past work using ML and/or LLMs in service of actually useful features and tools

  • Strong UI Design Skills

  • 5+ years of experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
