Amazon Sr. Program Manager, Global L&D, Global Executive Development (GED) in Seattle, Washington

Our team is responsible for the onboarding and on-going development of Amazon’s senior leaders through programs such as Escape Velocity, Day 1 Director, executive coaching, and other efforts.

We are seeking an innovative, customer-obsessed, high-ownership, data-driven, and creative Program Manager to support the large-scale delivery of Escape Velocity (EV): Amazon’s executive onboarding program. The EV PM drives a high-quality customer experience through impeccable executive development coordination, registration, facilitation, program delivery and post-program support. The PM will also support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Escape Velocity; develop comprehensive project plans for program initiatives; partner with stakeholders to prepare for program delivery; monitor and report on program performance, including impact; identify areas of opportunity in content, delivery, and approach and work cross functionally to constantly improve the customer experience; ensure communication to key stakeholders for the program flows consistently and efficiently; and scope, plan and develop customer-facing material (participant guides, facilitator slides, toolkits). The candidate must be able to Think Big and Dive Deep, and be skilled at anticipating and resolving problems, managing multiple priorities, and communicating effectively with senior leaders.

Key job responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will be highly detail and task oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.

• At least 5 years of program management experience in learning & development, talent management or related field

• Proven experience in implementing innovative learning designs and development solutions within a fast-paced, global environment

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to determine an appropriate level of detail in line with program milestones

• Expertise in comprehensive event planning and logistics management

• Proven ability to design and facilitate engaging, experiential learning programs for senior leadership audiences

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills: high quality document writing

• Proven track record of increasing operational efficiency while maintaining high standards

• Ability to proactively identify potential risks, roadblocks and anticipate evolving needs

• Develop reporting mechanisms that measure program effectiveness, to aid in assurance and process improvement

• Proven track record for delivering projects within scope, time, and quality

• Proven ability to build relationships quickly and earn trust of others

• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and switch from one focus to another depending on priority for the business or team at any particular time

• Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision making and help requests

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • • 5+ years leadership development, group facilitation, training and training design; or equivalent business experience

  • • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • • Proven ability to influence change at all levels within an organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • • Program Management Qualification (such as PMP)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
