Amazon Sr. Mgr, Product Mgmt - Tech, AWS Cognito in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Cognito is one of the world's largest and most used Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) cloud platforms available. We are natively serverless and multi-tenant, scaling to millions of users per customer while supporting secure, high availability needs transparently for our customer's mission critical applications. For example, our technology is used by the UK National Health Service to provide login capabilities that helped them respond to the Covid epidemic, scaling from 20 million to 800 million authentications from 2020 to 2021.

We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial type to be head of product to drive Cognito’s overall strategy and roadmap execution across all aspects of Cognito’s platform including application use cases for B2C, B2BSaaS and consumer driven Machine-to-Machine. Successful candidates should be fluent in industry standards like SAML, OAUTH and OIDC, posses a deep understanding of consumer driven security needs like bot and fraud threat detection, and instinctively understand the developer experience required for builders seeking to add authentication capabilities to their applications. As the product owner, you will have end-to-end product responsibility from working with external and internal customers to making roadmap tradeoffs in the delivery of revolutionary new features and functionality that improve the customer experience. The successful candidate will form a strategy that gets to the core of what customers value, set priorities that move that strategy forward, and influence across teams spanning Amazon Cognito, internal partners, and beyond to bring that vision to life.

You should be passionate about helping customers operate more securely in the cloud. Candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates dive deep into data, have strong writing skills, and can confidently lead teams to alignment in ambiguous problem spaces.

AWS has the most services and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider–from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases–to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. Whether its Identity features such as access management and sign on, cryptography, console, builder & developer tools, and even projects like automating all of our contractual billing systems, AWS Platform is innovating with the customer in mind. The AWS Platform team sustains over 750 million transactions per second.
