Uber Sr Manager, Product Equity & Fairness Strategy in Seattle, Washington

This role will report into the DEI Director and can be remote within the United States.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with our product equity & fairness teams to provide DEI subject matter expertise to support them in executing their strategic roadmap
Partner closely with our data science, engineering and product management teams to develop policies, frameworks, and workflows that are proactive and effective at scale to create an equitable experience with our products
Partner with complex cross-functional teams to address bias and disparity in technology for our users
Manage cross-functional teams to track progress and execution of our commitments related to product equity & fairness from our Civil Rights Assessment
Lead Uber's efforts with DEI cross-industry partners to advance product equity & fairness within the tech industry at large
Lead the planning and execution of industry-wide product equity events
Expand current institutional knowledge and best practices around DEI to support teams innovating their workflows to become more equitable and inclusive (i.e. increase adoption of and expand Product Equity 101 program)

Basic Qualifications
8 years experience working in DEI and partnering with product teams to make their products more inclusive and equitable
Experience creating more equitable product outcomes by leveraging more inclusive datasets, intersectional data analysis and developing inclusive testing processes.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in building relationships with cross-functional leaders. Ability to adapt and message communication for different audiences including engineers, product managers, leadership teams as well as non-technical partners
Excels at analytically distilling complex concepts and developing a plan of action
Ability to work with offensive and/or sensitive material.
Proven expertise in inclusion and a demonstrative history in inclusion strategy or program execution in a digital, consumer-facing product

Experience collaborating with teams of designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers throughout the design process and creating artifacts to document the design and user experience
Ability to build trusting relationships with external partners and experience convening industry leaders
Excellent problem-solving skills and relentless attention to detail
Excellent project management and organizational skills: You are self-motivated and have the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
A Global Lens: You've worked across different global markets and bring a cross-cultural lens to everything you do.

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year. For Dallas, TX-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
