Amazon Software Development Engineer II, AI Security in Seattle, Washington
Description
We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our AI Security team, which builds security tooling and paved path solutions to ensure Generative AI based experiences developed by Amazon uphold our high security standards, and uses AI to develop foundational services that make security mechanisms more effective and efficient.
You will contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, documentation, testing and operations of state-of-the-art solutions at Amazon scale. You will partner with applied scientists, security engineers, and software engineers to develop innovative technologies to solve some of our hardest security problems, and build paved path solutions that support builder teams across Amazon throughout their software development journey, enabling Amazon businesses to accelerate the pace of innovation to delight our customers.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
Working knowledge of building machine learning systems and tradeoffs involved.
Basic knowledge of web application security; including but not limited to common vulnerabilities in web applications.
Experience working with stakeholders of multiple job families - UX, Product, etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
