Amazon Senior Product Manager in Seattle, Washington

Description

Rapid to Rural Logistics (R2L) Sub-Same-Day Supply Chain team is looking for a seasoned Sr. Product Manager to help define the long-term product strategy for our grocery supply chain. A successful candidate will be able to dive deep using data and science to understand the root causes of complex problems and then prioritize simple impactful solutions. You will need to be comfortable synthesizing a clear, logical, data driven narrative out of confusing, ambiguous, and conflicting evidence, and defining a product roadmap and specifically product requirements/BRDs. This initiative is part of a high profile program so you will need to be comfortable communicating confidently and earning trust with people at many levels, including partners, software engineers, and senior leaders.

Key job responsibilities

  • Building strong partnerships with both technical and non-technical teams such as analytics (data, system development and business intelligence engineers, software developers, etc.), operations, supply chain, and finance teams

  • Invent new features, products and solutions to help scale the sub-same-day supply chain space

  • Defining product and feature visions and requirements and aligning with stakeholders, including several senior leaders, on the vision and prioritization

  • Anticipating and evaluating risks and making trade-offs to deliver products that scale, quickly

  • Overseeing user interface design, usability testing, product launch, product marketing, and resolving product escalations

  • Managing feature delivery timelines and communication with leaders and stakeholders on status, risks, and changes

This position can be located in Seattle, Nashville, Arlington, Austin, and Santa Monica

About the team

Amazon's Sub-Same Day (SSD) delivery program is designed to get customers their items as fast as possible – currently in as quickly as five hours. With ultra-fast delivery becoming increasingly important, we are looking for an experienced Sr Product Mgr, to help us benchmark against industry standards to uncover insights to improve and optimize the long term supply chain strategy for Amazons Sub-Same-Day business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
