Amazon Senior Product Manager - Tech, Home and Lifestyle Innovation Team in Seattle, Washington

The Home & Lifestyle Innovation Team (HIT) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager - Tech to work on next-generation shopping experiences powered by Generative AI technology.

This forward-looking initiative offers you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology to unlock the creation of visual assets at scale (images and videos) using Generative AI, transforming how creative content is generated and integrated throughout the customer shopping journey.

In this role, you will own work-streams to automate visual asset creation supporting global marketing campaigns, drive 3-year planning and strategy documents for the business, and partner closely with a dedicated team of engineers to build your solution.

Key job responsibilities

As with every team in Amazon, we work backwards from the needs of customers to bring structure to ambiguous problems. As a Product Manager on this team, you will:

• Set the vision for your product space and outline a roadmap that impacts the customer experience and delivers incremental value to your business.

• Work with business leaders, scientists, engineers and UX designers to translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of customer-facing experiences at scale.

• Work on a variety of challenging problems that have the potential to significantly impact Amazon’s business and customer experience.

• Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to market, performance, and features.

• Gain support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership.

• Create program goals and related metrics, track progress and manage through obstacles to achieve goals.

About the team

Our team creates value by solving acute customer pain points during the product discovery phase of the shopping journey, building intuitive experiences at scale that improve customers' ability to discover products. We are an interdisciplinary team of Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Scientists incubating and building day-one solutions to solve some of the toughest business problems at Amazon. From Machine Learning to Generative-AI, we leverage cutting edge technology to power our products. We use data to guide our decisions and we don't hesitate in pushing the boundaries of what is technically feasible when innovating on behalf of our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

  • Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
